Welcome to Amity! Follow the steps below to get whitelisted and into the city for the first time. If you get stuck at any point, ask in the Discord — someone is usually around to help.
Joining the server
Join the Discord
Everything starts in our Discord server. Your Discord account is how the server recognises you in game, and it's where announcements, support, and the community live.
Read the rules
Before connecting, read the server rules. Not knowing the rules is never an excuse, and most bans we hand out are for things covered on the first page. It takes ten minutes and saves everyone a bad night.
Install FiveM
Amity runs on FiveM, a free modification framework for Grand Theft Auto V. You need a legal copy of GTA V installed, then download and install the FiveM client from the official site.
Connect to Amity
Open FiveM, press F8 to open the console, and type
connect amityrp — or search for Amity in the server browser.
Make sure you're signed into FiveM with the same Discord account you
joined our server with.
Create your character
On first join you'll create your character — name, appearance, and backstory. Take your time here: this is the person the city will know you as. Once you're in, check your dashboard on this site to see your character, money, and vehicles.
